Yes, look at the adventure team sets, they were selling vehicles (Battle Blitz, Sub) that can be found second hand for under $10. That just isn't good marketing.

Also, while the claims are made of the "low" production runs, there are long standing rumors that this simply isn't the case (ie online retailers never seem to run out that first few months of release) and that the runs are actually higher, that the numbers are skewed, some have even claimed to know what it takes to create one of thier sets and that it is farrrr less than thier claims, ect. ect.

Thing is, until someone comes forward with some exact figures (on costs) at the least we may never know. I know of some people who CLAIM to know but they won't share the info nor how they got it with the general public. Not sure why they won;t (although they make tons of claims of retailation from MC and Hasbro, eh?).

But that is the rundown as I am aware, nothing else can be fully said because certain segmetns of the community will not step forward, so we are stuck speculating.
