Had a pretty hard time with this week's decision...
I have to give it Flats for piecing together that dock. Could pass for a factory-made playset. Really dug the mesh lights. I had a hard time between Scarviper and Flatline but I have to go with Flatline. both very good jobs.

My vote goes to ToD, too. His shot captured exactly what I thought the feel of the theme was. Like when you're a kid and you pull out every figure you've got in a massive "who's the victor" battle. Why didn't I take a shot like that? Probably because there'd be 5 Timber wolves, 2 Salacious Crumbs, some droids and a HAVOC .
I really liked Sic Deth's, too; not just because of the BATs, but how Roadblock is using his gun as a club. |

I think I'm going with troopsofdoom also. It's perhaps not the most original angle or scenery, but in terms of figures, action and general atmosphere, it's definitely the one that comes closest to how I view this week's theme.
Runner-ups would be SIC DETH and Agent Viper with their brawling scenes. And frankly, I think Lava Boss' pîcture had something going for it as well. The fight in that one is a bit one-sided, and it could have used some muzzle flash effects, but otherwise, it's a very dynamic photograph. |
Was definitely a good turn out this weekend.
 My vote goes to Troops of Doom just for really running with the theme and for the use of Dodger. Always cool to see folks think outside the box w/ their figure choices. Were we doing second place I'd have to go with Cyko just for the effects on that BAT. That really made the shot come alive. :D |

Im voting for Sic Death. His use of figures, lighting, and posing are all fantastic. It brings to mind that last ounce of fight that you have left. To quote one of my old Drill Sgts "Just because you're out of rounds doesn't mean you're weaponless. Turn it around, hold it by the hand grips, and now you have a baseball bat." (SSG Anthony Spoonmore)...

So the votes are in, and Troopsofdoom is the winner with 8 votes, so once again congratulations! Many shots this weekend were good, but most of us agree this was the best.
Agent Viper and Sic Deth were also tied at 3 votes each, so good job to them too. Look forward to next weekend which is Troop-builder weekend, I'm already stocking up to post plenty of shots next weekend. :) |

Oh no! I got in late for the voting. Anyway, congrats, ToD! I like the magnitude of that battle.
For whatever it's worth, I also go for Sic Deth's. The poses, the angles, (and Roadblock being forced to use his beloved .50 cal as a club) really bring out that sense of desperation during a last stand. |
